Prothrombin Complex Concentrates (PCC) are human plasma derived products that have undergone solvent/detergent treatment and/or nanofiltration for viral, bacterial and parasite inactivation and removal.  They contain procoagulant Vitamin K dependent factors – II, VII, Ix and X.  They also contain the anticoagulant factors Protein C, Protein S and Heparin in varying amounts.  There are two licensed PCCs in Canada: Octoplex and Beriplex P/N.  Beriplex P/N also contains Antithrombin.
